About

The Center for Orthopedics has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report for its excellence in pediatric orthopedic care.  This recognition is a result of  our talented team of physicians, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and X-ray technologists. Each individual is an essential part of our team that helps us enhance the quality of care we provide.

Outpatient Care

Outpatient services include treatment of bumps, bruises, fractures and more, with same-day appointments available. Including our downtown location, we have 4 convenient locations to better serve our patients: Melbourne, Orlando, Sanford, and Waterford Lakes.

Inpatient Care

Inpatient orthopedic services include operative treatment of all orthopedic problems, traumatic or otherwise. Pediatric trauma patients requiring orthopedic procedures can be treated at our facilities 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We always have an on-call orthopedic surgeon ready to help at a moment’s notice. We also work closely with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Winnie Palmer Hospital, a part of Orlando Health, where we monitor and treat the needs of infants born prematurely.

Research

Our current research projects, which have garnered national attention, include new techniques for managing trauma cases, hip disorders and scoliosis. Arnold Palmer Hospital is home to one of the largest, most comprehensive scoliosis surgery centers in the southeastern United States. Our facility features the most advanced implant techniques and spinal cord monitoring.

Diagnosis and Rehabilitation

Our specialty practice features on-site access to a leading-edge MRI machine and 64-slice CT scanner, providing immediate diagnosis for patients. After diagnosis and treatment, our specialists provide in-house physical therapy to monitor and guide young patients through their rehabilitation.
