Richard Banks, MD, was born into a military family at Ft. Ord, California. As is typical of military families, he was raised in multiple locations, including Japan and Germany. However, his roots are in Springfield, MO. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry, and from the University of Iowa Medical School in Iowa City, IA. His pediatric internship and residency were done at the William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, TX. Following residency, he was assigned for four years to Ft. Leonard Wood General Hospital in Missouri. He completed a Pediatric Endocrinology fellowship at Shands Teaching Hospital, University of Florida. Subsequently, he spent three years at William Beaumont AMC, El Paso, TX, and nine years at Tripler Army Medical Center, Honolulu, HI, as the Chief, Pediatric Endocrinology. Upon retirement from the service after 24 years, Dr. Banks joined the Medical Education Program at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, where he holds a clinical faculty appointment and is involved in resident education. He is board certified in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. He is a member of the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, the Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, and the Obesity Society. He is on the board of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in Orlando.

Paul Desrosiers, MD, was born in Durham, North Carolina and raised in the Research Trangle area between Durham, Chapel Hill, and Raleigh. He is a graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His pediatric residency and first year of fellowship in Genetics, Endocrinology, and Metabolism was completed at University of Florida at Gainesville. His second year of fellowship was at the University of OKLA, Oklahoma Children's Hospital. He became Board Certified in Pediatrics in 1979 and Pediatric Endocrinology in 1973. He is very involved in clinical research training and involvement with many clinical research trials with growth hormone and diabetes. He has received Best Doctors in Central Florida 2004-2012.

Jennifer Villar, MD was born in Miami, Florida. She is fluent in Spanish. She completed her pediatric residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at Emory University, in Atlanta, Georgia. While at Emory, she investigated maternal factors influencing weight gain, growth and pubertal development in Rhesus monkey infants. She presented her research findings at several national meetings, including Pediatric Endocrine Society and Obesity Society, and at the International Society for Developmental Origins of Health and Disease. She is a member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, Endocrine Society, Obesity Society, and Central Florida Pediatric Society. Clinical interests include short stature, early puberty and obesity.

Joshua Yang, MD, grew up in Santa Barbara, CA. He graduated cum laude from Wheaton College in Illinois and earned his medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. He completed his pediatric residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and a fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at UCLA Medical Center/Mattel Children's Hospital. As a fellow, he was named the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society Serono Clinical Scholar. His research interests include control of aging and longevity by IGF-I signaling, IGFBP-3 pharmacokinetics and the effects of SGA on cancer risk. Recent presentations at national meetings include a novel SHOX mutation associated with Leri-Weill Dyschondrosteosis, growth hormone deficiency in Alagille syndrome and GAD-65 positive ketotic diabetes in obese children.
