Wendy was born and raised in Orlando, FL, and obtained her nursing degree from the University of Central Florida. She then obtained her Masters Degree in Nursing and completed the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Program at the University of Florida. She started off as a neonatal nurse in the intensive care unit and has held positions as manager of healthcare education and clinical nurse specialist. She has spoken in local conferences on neonatal topics and has been published in peer reviewed journals. She comes to the Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation team with more than 30 years of nursing experience with the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
